Fall River woman accused of DUI with toddler in back seat due in court

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Fall River woman will be arraigned Thursday on charges that she was driving drunk with a toddler in the back seat.

Shortly before 7:30 last Friday night, Portsmouth police pulled over 24-year-old Dara Dupre.

Officers said she was speeding down East Main Road, and that a strong smell of alcohol was coming from her.

Dupre failed a breathalyzer test while a two-year-old was buckled in in the back seat.

She was arrested, and will be arraigned on multiple charges at the 2nd Division District Court at 9 a.m. Thursday.
