Up and down weather continues into February
It has been a damp and dreary final day of January, and the rain will continue to fall until around midnight tonight. There is also plenty of fog across the area as well.
It’s possible we could see some wet snowflakes mixed in as the precipitation moves out colder air moves in, but skies will clear Saturday morning.
Sunny skies Saturday will become gradually cloudy on Sunday. Both days will see seasonably chilly high temps in the 30s, but it will be frigid on Sunday morning with lows close to 10°.
Will the groundhog see his shadow on Sunday? With overcast skies for Punxsutawney, PA you might think not, but Mr. Phil has been known to make decisions regardless of the weather!
A fast-moving front will bring rain and wet snow to the region Sunday night, perhaps leading to a quick inch or two on colder surfaces. With temps above freezing, it likely won’t stick on roads.
The precip moves out by wake-up Monday, and then temperatures soar to near 50 by the afternoon.
Our up and down weather is likely to continue through the end of next week.
Have a great weekend.
