Snowy Sunday Night

Snow is developing across New England Sunday night and will bring mainly snow for about a 5 hour timespan. In this time, most areas will see 1-2 inches of accumulations. Along the coast, there is a likelihood of mixing with rain and therefore, a coating to an inch is most likely there. In the interior, we have a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7pm Sunday night to 7am Monday for north and western Providence County as well as Western Kent County. The advisory is issued for the potential of hazardous driving conditions. The Monday morning commute will be slippery in spots. After 4am, the snow will end and patchy fog will also be here for the morning commute with lowered visibility. Temperatures climb well into the 40s Monday with a southwesterly wind. Tuesday starts with early clouds and clears to sunshine. Expect seasonable temps in the upper-30s. Wednesday sill have a blend of sun and clouds and the coldest temps of the week, topping out near 33. Wednesday night through Thursday is our nest storm system to come through. Although it will start as snow Wednesday night, temperatures will rise into the mid-40s mixing and changing the precip to rain. Friday is full of sunshine and highs near 40. Saturday night will be the time to watch for another chance of snow.
