Better Lives RI food pantry receives flood of donations after social post of empty shelves

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Better Lives RI is thanking the public for their help after receiving numerous donations to their food pantry.

Wednesday, the food pantry posted on Facebook sharing that their location on Abbot Park Place was empty.

The downtown food pantry serves groceries to over 30,000 Rhode Islanders.

Better Lives RI said they still need more donations, as shipments from the food bank have gotten smaller in the past few weeks.
