State police arrest 5 men on gun and narcotics charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said that five men were arrested on Feb. 7 in connection with an organized criminal group involved in firearm and narcotics crimes.
21-year-old Juan Pagan, 20-year-old Jayvante Santos, 25-year-old Christian Rodriguez, 21-year-old Jason Delacruz, all of Pawtucket, and 18-year-old Yadriel Delacruz, of Providence, were all arrested after multiple search warrants were executed in Pawtucket and Providence.
The men were charged with possession of machine guns, modifications of semi-automatic weapons, possession of firearms while committing controlled substance violations, large capacity feeding devices prohibited, possession with the intent to deliver over one ounce of a schedule II controlled substance – cocaine, and the possession with the intent to deliver controlled substances – fentanyl, cocaine, amphetamine, and marijuana.
The search warrants were executed on Prospect Street in Pawtucket and Glenham Street and Andy Street in Providence, where police allegedly found three illegal 9mm firearms modified to fire fully automatic, an extended magazine, ammunition, over one ounce of cocaine, fentanyl, amphetamine, and marijuana, equipment utilized to process and manufacture illegal narcotics, and almost $20,000.
