WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Wareham police arrested a man Saturday in connection to a home invasion and stabbing incident on Friday.

Ian Hill, 29, of Wareham, was taken into custody and charged with home invasion and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The incident occurred on Friday at the Woods at Wareham Apartment Complex on Swifts Beach Road, when police responded to calls of a male victim who had been stabbed.

Hill is alleged to have forced his way into the apartment and attacked the victim with a knife, fleeing the area prior to officers’ arrival.

The victim suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Tobey Hospital.

Officers located Hill within the same apartment complex on Saturday and arrested him without incident.

He was held on $25,000 cash bail and will be arraigned Monday morning at Wareham 4th District Court.
