Karen Read trial lead investigator to face trial board

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A disciplinary hearing continues Monday for Michael Proctor, a Massachusetts State Police Investigator and lead investigator during Karen Read’s first trial.

He is set to face a trial board once again Monday after facing disciplinary action back in July when text messages sent between other troopers showed unprofessional language during the trial.

The hearing is part of the disciplinary process for state police personnel and works similarly to a standard court trial.
