State House to vote on stray cat capture-neuter-release, other bills
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island house finance committee will meet Tuesday to hear testimony on additional articles to the budget proposal.
The committee will discuss the Rhode Island student loan authority transfer, the integrated data system act and the Public Data Management Act.
That meeting will be at 5 p.m. at the State House.
The house judiciary committee will also vote on two bills today.
One bill would no longer consider capture-neuter-and-release of free-roaming cats as abandonment.
That’s as long as the cat is returned to the area they were found.
The other bill aims to ban and criminalize “revenge porn” or unauthorized sexually explicit material of another person without consent of the person depicted.
The judiciary committee will vote on the bills Tuesday at 5 p.m.
