New Bedford launches new app that helps residents access non-emergency services

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of New Bedford announced the launch of its new mobile app Tuesday morning.
The app, titled NBConnected, makes services easier to access for residents in New Bedford.
According to the City of New Bedford, the app allows residents to request non-emergency services, such as a missed trash pickup, pothole, or vandalism.
Residents are also able to track requests and services, pay bills, explore open career opportunities, apply for building permits, and view calendar events, according to city officials.
For those who do not have a smartphone, the same services are available by calling 311.
