Power issue in Central Falls delays trains between Providence and Boston

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police told ABC 6 News that an issue occurred on a train passing through Central Falls Friday night.

Amtrak said in a social media post that travel between Providence and Boston may be delayed due to “overhead power issues.”
Travel Update: Trains may experience lengthy delays between Providence (PVD) and Boston (BOS) due to overhead power issues in the area. We will provide updates as information becomes available.

A bridge on Cross Street spanning over the tracks was closed down as a precaution but has since reopened.
