Lakeville firefighters battle barn fire

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Lakeville Fire Department said it responded to a barn fire on County Street and Freetown Street on Feb. 15.
The department said it responded around 2:30 p.m. to find the barn fully involved.
Two portable tanks were used to extinguish the fire, and the scene was clear after about four hours.
Two family pets died as a result of the fire.
Berkley Fire and Rescue, the Freetown Fire Department, the Rochester Fire Department, the Acushnet Fire and EMS Department, and the Taunton Fire Department all provided mutual aid.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
