Reed, Magaziner and education leaders to discuss proposed Department of Education cuts
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Rep. Seth Magaziner and Senator Jack Reed will meet with state education leaders about the proposed cuts to the U.S. Department of Education.
The press conference follows the confirmation of Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education last week.
The state’s education commissioner, Angelica Infante-Green, Mary Barden, NEARI executive director and Jack Warner, Rhode Island College president are some of the leaders expected to attend the discussion.
The meeting is happening at 10 a.m. in Cranston at the National Education Association of Rhode Island.
