Still Windy, Still Cold

While it seems like common sense to say that, here on this February day in southern New England, it will be cold, temperatures will be far below average! We’re waking up to the teens, and highs today will only be in the mid 20s despite the sunshine. For reference, high temperatures should be around 40 degrees. All that said, with winds remaining strong today, it’ll feel considerably colder than what the temperatures read throughout this Tuesday. Dress for the single digits this morning, and the low teens (at best) this afternoon!
Tomorrow, we keep the sunshine around and the wind dies down a bit. We could still have gusts into the teens and 20s. High temperatures will be in the upper 20s.
Thursday brings our next chance of snow with a storm that will pass to our south. Right now, the track of this storm looks like it will allow snow showers to just brush our area, leaving us will a coating in spots. However, if the center of the storm moves just a bit in either direction, it could lead to changes in this forecast. We’ll keep you posted as we get closer and closer to Thursday.
After this storm leaves the coastline, we’re back to sunshine for Friday afternoon. Temperatures will be in the mid 30s.
