Deadly crash in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — One person has died after his vehicle wrapped around a tree on the side of the highway.

Rhode Island State Police identified  the victim as 27-year-old Jose Tovar Garcia of Providence.

The accident happened at about  4 a.m. Monday morning on 95 North near the Elmwood Avenue exit. Garcia lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
