Sara Myron Bloom steps in as acting U.S. Attorney for Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — We now know who will be the acting U.S. Attorney in Rhode Island now that Zachary Cunha resigned.

Sara Myron Bloom will now be acting U.S. Attorney in Rhode Island.

Bloom spent over 25 years as Massachusetts’ Assistant U.S. Attorney, then joined Rhode Island in 2022 as the first assistant U.S. attorney.

Cunha abruptly resigned on Monday after the Justice Department under the new administration told him to leave immediately.
