Woman arrested after allegedly being stabbed, stabbing boyfriend in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The West Greenwich Police Department said that a 46-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend during a domestic incident on Feb. 20.

The woman was charged with felony domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Police responded to a residence on Lake Drive around 9:15 p.m. for reports of a domestic disturbance.

A 41-year-old man there told police that he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument, and police left the area after both parties clamed down.

Officers then returned at 9:50 p.m. and found the man had a chest wound, and he told officers he had stabbed his girlfriend.

The male was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, treated and later released.
