New Bedford Police investigating late night shooting

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said it was investigating a shooting that occurred around midnight Saturday.

Police responded to Nye Street between Brook Street and Ashley Boulevard to find a male with a gunshot wound.

He was transported to the hospital for treatment and was in stable condition as of noon Saturday.
