NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — A GoFundMe has been created in support of a Fairhaven man who died in a two-vehicle crash on Feb. 20.

28-year-old Mason Evich was killed in a head-on crash on the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge, according to Massachusetts State Police.

In the GoFundMe, it said “Mason was a light in everyone’s life. To know him was to love him. He was the kind of person who always had something positive to say and was friendly to anyone he met.”

The fundraiser to honor Mason’s life has raised nearly $50,000 in 24 hours, which surpassed the initial goal of $25,000.
