Student mental health support, school bus cameras to be discussed at State House
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island house education committee will meet today to discuss several bills.
One bill would establish a “safety and behavioral health committee.”
If passed, committees would be district-wide and address mental health support to students.
Another bill would require all new school buses to be equipped with digital cameras.
A third bill would allow charter schools to engage in “nontraditional approaches” to education and permit towns to adopt a quote “all-charter school public school model” for education.
The committee will meet at 2:30 p.m.
