Fall River: School lockdown lifted after report of student with a gun at Diman

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A student claimed to be in possession of a firearm Wednesday at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, leading to a lockdown of the school, according to Fall River police.
No weapon was displayed at the time the claim was made and the identified student was located by school resource officers and brought to an administrative office.
The student was searched by both police and school officials and no weapon was found.
A search of the student’s home was also conducted as a precautionary measure leading to a negative result.
The student who reported the claim was also interviewed by law enforcement.
The lockdown has been lifted and all after school activities have been canceled.
