Pedestrian struck while crossing road in Attleboro

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — Police blocked off part of Pleasant Street in Attleboro Friday evening after a 47-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle.

Police said the woman was hit while in the crosswalk and suffered injuries to her head and lower extremities.

She was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The 24-year-old driver was also cooperating with the investigation.

ABC 6 News crews in the area saw multiple police vehicles in front of the Mutual gas station.
