City of Providence announces upcoming lane closures and parking restrictions on Gano Street

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Providence said there will be lane closures and parking restrictions on Gano Street due to road work on March 11 and 12.
On March 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the southbound lane of Gano Street will be closed.
During this time, traffic will be directed from East George Street, to Ives Street, to Power Street.
Additionally, there will be parking bans on the the west side of Ives Street from East George Street to Power Street.
On March 12, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., both directions of Gano Street will be closed from East George Street to Power Street.
The City of Providence listed the following detours for March 12:
- Southbound: East George Street to Governor Street to Power Street
- Northbound: Power Street to Ives Street to East George Street
The City also listed the following parking restrictions:
- Power Street, southbound side: from Gano Street to Governor Street
- Governor Street, westbound side: from Power Street to East George Street
- East George Street, northbound side; from Governor Street to Gano Street
- Ives Street, westbound side: from Power Street to Governor Street
The City of Providence is asking drivers to follow the detour signs and plan ahead for extra travel time.
