Officials suspect arson in fire at Bayer executive’s home
MADISON, N.J. (WLNE) — Authorities are investigating a suspected arson attack at the home of a Bayer pharmaceutical executive.
The company is famous for aspirin and Aleve, and for its merger with Monsanto, maker of the controversial weed killer, Roundup.
Firefighters in Madison, New Jersey quickly put out the fire “with no significant damage and no reported injuries.”
It comes amid an increase in threats against high-profile executives after the arrest of Luigi Mangione in December’s killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
