New Bedford to begin exploration of Acushnet Avenue revitalization

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Monday night New Bedford will begin its series of public design workshops on the revitalization of Acushnet Avenue.

The city, and the Love the Ave Partnership will look at vacant parcels on Acushnet Avenue, and will look into how to improve the connection from the avenue to both the river and park, and how to develop the Sawyer Street EPA site.

At 5:30 p.m., the city will host a kick off presentation and workshop at the Our Lady of Angel’s Band Cultural Center on Acushnet Avenue.
