Road closures to begin in Providence for March Madness

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Providence announced there will be road closures starting March 19 due to the first and second rounds of March Madness being held at the Amica Mutual Pavilion.
The following roads will be closed:
- Aborn Street: between Washington Street and Westminster Street
- March 20 8 a.m. to March 24 at 8 p.m.
- Adrian Hall Way: between Fountain Street and Washington Street
- March 19 at 8 a.m. to March 30 at 12 a.m.
- Mathewson Street: between Lucie Way and Fountain Street
- March 20 at midnight to March 23 at 5 a.m.
- Peck Street: between Pine Street and Friendship Street
- March 20 at 10 a.m. to March 23 at noon
- Union Street: between Fountain Street and Washington Street
- March 20 at 7 a.m. to March 24 at 7 a.m.
- Westminster Street: between Orange Street and Dorrance Street
- March 22 from 8 a.m. to midnight
- Westminster Street: between Snow Street and Empire Street
- March 20 at 8 a.m. to March 24 at 8 p.m.
Additionally, there will be no street parking on West Exchange Street from Fox Place to Dean Street from March 18 at 6 a.m. to March 22 at 11:30 p.m.
The following parking garages will be available during this time:
- Providence Place Mall Garage
- Convention Center Garage
- Biltmore Garage
