Track Fifteen Food Hall to officially open Tuesday
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Track Fifteen Food Hall is officially opening Tuesday morning, with officials on hand to celebrate the ribbon-cutting later in the day.
Once known as Union Station, this landmark dates back to 1898, and the historic space is getting new life as Track Fifteen opens its doors.
Serving as a transportation hub until 1986, Track Fifteen brings a fresh concept to downtown, featuring a variety of cuisines including seafood, Mexican, burgers and Italian cuisines.
The food hall has indoor and outdoor seating for up to 600 people, a central bar and an entertainment venue.
The 10,000 square-foot plaza will also host events year-round.
Doors open daily at 11 a.m., closing at 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Local leaders, including Governor McKee, Providence Mayor Smiley and Senator Jack Reed will attend Tuesday’s grand opening.
The event features a speaking program at 10 a.m., followed by a tour at 10:30 a.m., and the official ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. when the public can finally step inside and experience it for themselves.
