Suspect arrested for stabbing incident in Cranston arraigned Wednesday

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said the man who was arrested after stabbing a victim on March 18 was arraigned on Wednesday.

On March 18, 32-year-old Devan Tallo allegedly stabbed a man four times on Aldrich Avenue with a large butcher knife.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and police said he is in stable condition.

Tallo was taken to the hospital to treat a hand laceration.

According to police, Tallo was arraigned at the hospital at 12:30 p.m. and held without bail due to two violations of Supreme Court cases.

Additionally, a no contact order for the victim was issued.

Cranston police said Tallo will be taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions after being discharged from the hospital.
