GoFundMe created in support of Smithfield family who lost home in fire

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — A GoFundMe has been created to support a family displaced from a house fire on Randall Street on March 13.
According to Smithfield fire officials, there was heavy fire on the first and second floor of the home.
In the GoFundMe, it said two grandparents, a father, and a daughter lost their home in the fire, and that “a lifetime of memories and belongings were destroyed.”
The donations will go towards essentials, temporary housing, and “the long road to rebuilding,” according to the GoFundMe.
The fundraiser to help the family has raised just over $5,000, with a goal of $10,000.
