Providence Police say 14-year-old stabbed on Broad Street

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said a 14-year-old boy was stabbed on Broad Street on March 23.
Around 10:40 p.m., police were sent to Broad Street after receiving a report of a stabbing.
At the scene, police said the victim told officers he was attacked by about 15 people, and that one of them stabbed him in the arm.
Additionally, the 14-year-old told police he was “set up” by a friend, according to Providence police.
Police said the victim then walked home and and called the police.
The victim was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
