Middletown police investigating after bicyclist struck in hit-and-run

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A bicyclist was struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run accident Sunday night in Middletown, according to police.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. Sunday in front of the plaza at 999 West Main Road when a silver or gray SUV-style vehicle struck a bicyclist.

The operator of the SUV continued driving after the collision.

Middletown police are seeking public assistance in the incident and ask that anyone with information as to the driver’s identity call 401-846-1144.
