New Bedford crews battle fire at smoke shop
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Fire Department battled a fire at a smoke shop early Wednesday morning.
Around 2:20 a.m., crews received reports of a fire at New Bedford Vape and Smoke Shop on Acushnet Avenue.
Upon arrival, crews discovered smoke coming from the store.
New Bedford fire officials said firefighters used an attack line through the front door while others began ventilation at the rear door.
The flames were contained to the store and nobody was injured.
New Bedford fire said the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and originated from an electrical issue.
