Child struck by car at intersection in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department said that a child was struck by a passing vehicle on the corner of Ashton Street and Walcott Street.

The child sustained a leg injury and was transported to an area hospital for further treatment.

The department added that the driver stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators.
