Rhode Island Foundation giving $3 million to local non-profits affected by Trump cuts
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Foundation is giving $3 million in grants to local non-profits.
The foundation said the money will go towards organizations affected by the loss of federal funding by the Trump administration.
$1 million in grants will be awarded through the RI Foundation’s Community Partner Resilience Fund.
Qualifying organizations can apply by April 7 to receive up to $50,000.
Another $2 million will be awarded through its Community Priority and Capacity-Building Grant Programs.
The application opens August 1.
More than $200,000 is also available to help fund legal assistance and training.
