North Providence gunpoint carjacking suspects to face a judge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Two suspects in a September 2024 carjacking in North Providence will be arraigned Wednesday in Providence Superior Court.

20-year-old Michael Mota, and 18-year-old Jesus Nival Hidalgo were arrested in October of 2024.

This, after a woman said she was held at gunpoint for her car, at her home on Smithfield Road a month earlier.

Both men are facing felony gun, assault and conspiracy charges.

The two suspects will be arraigned at 8:30 a.m.
