Lincoln Police arrest man for alleged Tesla vandalism
LINCON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Lincoln Police Department said a Pawtucket man was arrested for allegedly vandalising a Tesla.
29-year-old Benjamin Scheff was charged with vandalism.
The owner of the Tesla told police that he had seen his vehicle being keyed while he was exiting a business on Smithfield Avenue.
Scheff was allegedly seen standing near the passenger side of the vehicle before walking away, and the owner told police a new scratch above the rear tire was on the vehicle.
Police said that surveillance footage taken from the vehicle allegedly showed Scheff walking past the vehicle, then turning around, approaching the passenger side, making a swiping motion with his hand where the scratch was located, and then walking away.
