More Rain on the Way

Unsettled weather has indeed settled in here in Southern New England. A front has set up shop across the region and is acting as a conveyor belt for rounds of rain. For tonight, we have a chance of a few rumbles of thunder as well. Temperatures will hold in the lower-40s overnight. Sunday starts with a round of locally heavy rain and patchy fog as well as the slight chance of s thunderstorm. The afternoon will see breaks in the cloud cover and temperatures will bump up into the upper-50s with mostly cloudy skies. Sunday night through Monday morning we will bring through another area of rain that will taper to showers through the late morning. Monday highs will be much cooler than the average in the mid-50s, topping out near 44. This cooler than average trend will be here through Wednesday as highs will be in the 40s. After a chance of early rain, Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry and mostly sunny. Temperatures moderate back to seasonable levels for Thursday into next weekend. Thursday will be mainly sunny but the chance of showers returns Friday and Saturday.
