Police cruiser involved in crash in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence police cruiser was involved in a crash on Broadway and Courtland Street Sunday morning.

A spokesperson for the mayor’s office said that the officer was transported to the hospital, while the occupants of the other vehicle had to be extricated and were also transported.

All involved were conscious and alert and their injuries were non-life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation.
