Lincoln Police issue warrant for alleged arson suspect

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) – Lincoln Police has issued an arrest warrant for an alleged arson suspect.

A warrant has been issued for 38-year-old Jeffrey Bowden, of Plainfield, CT. On Monday night, just before midnight, police officers were called to Smith Street for a car fire. Officials say Bowden allegedly intentionally set the car on fire following a dispute with the car owner.

Police say the car owner and Bowden know each other and there is no danger to the public.

An extraditable warrant has been issued for his arrest for one count of 4th-degree arson.
