RISP arrest Pawtucket man after wrong-way crash, charged with DUI

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police arrested a Pawtucket man after a wrong-way crash Tuesday morning.
Raul Hernandez, of Pawtucket, was charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence of liquor or drugs (pending toxicology results), and operating under a suspended license.
Around 4:45 a.m., RISP responded to Route 295 North near the weigh station for a motor vehicle collision.
Investigation showed Hernandez was allegedly traveling southbound in the northbound lane, and collided with another vehicle, according to RISP.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
Hernandez was arraigned Tuesday afternoon and released on $6,000 bond.
