Westport raccoon caught in January tested positive for rabies

WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — A Westport raccoon captured and tested for rabies in January has tested positive for the disease, according to Westport Animal Control.

The case was confirmed by the state Rabies Task Force.

All pet owners are reminded to have their animals vaccinated against rabies.
