Four RI State Campground open for the season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Just in time for school vacation week four Rhode Island State Campground are opening for the season.
Today, Burlingame State Park and Charlestown Breachway, both in Charlestown, along with Fishermen’s Memorial State Park in Narragansett, and the George Washington Memorial State Park in Chepachet are open for those looking to schedule a camping trip.
Fishermen’s Memorial, George Washington and Burlingame State Campgrounds are all offering a pre-check-in process to help campers “camp more, wait less.” When campers book a site through Reserve America system, they will receive an email to pre-register, which must be completed at least two days before arrival. Campes who need a second car pass can select and pay for it up to one day before they register.
While a lot of outdoor programs are preparing to open, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is recruiting a variety of seasonal jobs including lifeguards, park rangers, visitor assistants, and natural resources operations.
