Vigil held to remember victims of Dominican nightclub roof collapse

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Dominican community of Rhode Island held a vigil on April 12 in remembrance of those killed in a roof collapse at a nightclub in the Dominican Republic.

Organizers said the vigil was held at Roger Williams Park to honor the victims, including a Federal Hill business owner and the families of multiple local residents.

State Rep. Enrique Sanchez attended the vigil to “[support] and [stand] in solidarity with our Dominican Republic community.”
