Newport stalking, condo arson suspect to face a judge Tuesday

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The man charged with setting fire to a condo complex in Newport in February will be arraigned Tuesday.

56-year-old Joseph Fragata was indicted by a grand jury on eight felony charges including arson and stalking.

Fragata is accused of stalking a woman who lived at the condo complex.

The victim said she saw Fragata looking into her window days before the fire happened.

Fragata is also accused of sending the victim inappropriate photos.
