Congressman Auchincloss, Fall River Mayor Coogan to discuss potential Social Security cuts

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts Congressman Jake Auchincloss will discuss and condemn the cuts forecasted for the Social Security Administration at Fall River press conference Thursday morning.

The congressman will be in Fall River, along with mayor Paul Coogan, for the press conference.

According to his office, there are rumors that the U.S. General Services Administration could include the city’s Social Security administration office on its list of properties it would no longer fund.

Auchincloss will discuss the consequences of those cuts this morning at the SSA’s Fall River office at 11:15 a.m.
