Fairhaven police chief commends off-duty officers who responded to car crash
FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WLNE) — Fairhaven police are commending two off-duty officers for saving the life of a woman involved in a crash on Main Street on Wednesday.
According to police chief Daniel Dorgan, off-duty Rochester officer Daniel Allende and Dartmouth officer Ernest Belliveau jumped into action when an elderly woman suffered a medical emergency and crashed into a pole Wednesday afternoon.
The woman was found not breathing with no pulse and both officers performed CPR until Fairhaven medics arrived.
The driver re-gained her pulse and remains in an intensive care unit at a local hospital.
