Some South Coast Rail trains to be temporarily replaced by shuttles
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The MBTA’s operations and maintenance partner said that certain trains on the South Coast Rail would be replaced by busses on April 26 and April 27.
Keolis Commuter Services said that 10 trips per day would be replaced by shuttle buses.
The following trips will use the bus service:
Inbound Trains (to South Station) for Bus Replacement with both a local and express option for passengers:
- Train #6922; 9:37 a.m. from Fall River
- Train #7028; 1:03 p.m. from New Bedford
- Train #6930; 2:17 p.m. from Fall River
- Train #7040; 6:50 p.m. from New Bedford
- Train #7046; 9:53 p.m. from New Bedford
Outbound Trains (from South Station) for Bus Replacement with both a local and express option for passengers:
- Train #7015; 11:00 a.m. to New Bedford
- Train #6917; 12:10 p.m. to Fall River
- Train #7029; 4:50 p.m. to New Bedford
- Train #6979; 6:06 p.m. from East Taunton to Fall River
- Train #7039; 7:59 p.m. to New Bedford
Keolis added that the following details that riders should know:
- Express buses will make no stops between East Taunton Station and South Station.
- Express buses to/from New Bedford will make the following stops: New Bedford, Church Street, East Taunton and South Station.
- Express buses from Fall River will make the following stops: Fall River, Freetown, East Taunton and South Station
- Local buses will connect with the Red Line and Kingston Line service at Braintree Station, then run express to South Station.
The company added that if additional crews become available, the trips will return to train service and riders will be notified.
