North Providence Police notify public of traffic expected due to Ruggerio funeral

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The North Providence Police Department said that the community should expect traffic congestion due to the visitation and funeral for Senate President Dominick Ruggerio.

Visitation hours are scheduled for April 27 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and April 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home on Smith Street.

Ruggerio’s funeral will take place on April 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church.

Police said that officers would “implement traffic control measures throughout the duration of the services.”

In addition, residents attending visiting hours were asked to park at 1364 Smith Street, 1450 Smith Street, 1515 Smith Street, or 1525 Smith Street.
