Roger Williams student who died abroad remembered by colleagues

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Paige Moreau, a student at Roger Williams University and a Lincoln native, died after a medical emergency in Italy on Saturday.

“It’s gut-wrenching, and that doesn’t even begin to describe it,” Bisbano and Associates Project Manager Ashley Zannini said.

Paige spent a lot of her time as an intern at Bisbano and Associates, an architecture firm in Providence.

“She was so lively and bubbly,” Bisbano and Associates Senior Project Manager Matt Silva said.

According to her former coworkers, Moreau really made an impact on the team.

“A lot of the time, especially in architecture, with how difficult the profession is, most students don’t get the chance that early on in their career,” Bisbano and Associates Architectural Designer Robbie Scott said. “That was a testament to how talented she was.”

Paige was also a cheerleader and resident advisor at RWU.

Administrators from the university said her leadership, mentorship, and spirit touched the lives of many.

“She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind,” Silva said. “She just really fit into the culture that we have here and we loved her for that.”

Silva leads the team Paige worked with. She was set to come back to the company in a few weeks to start her summer internship.

Bisbano and Associates plans to sponsor a scholarship in her name for the architecture program at Roger Williams University.

“She’s going to be remembered as one of the brightest interns that I have had the absolute pleasure of teaching and she will not be forgotten at all,” Silva said.
