Police arrest suspect accused of threatening Patriot Place goers with gun

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A man is facing charges Friday morning after Foxboro police said he threatened several people at Patriot Place.

On Tuesday, officers got multiple calls about a man pulling a gun on people, but he left before officers arrived.

Investigators eventually identified the suspect as 23-year-old Nicholas Butler of Walpole, and arrested him Thursday.

Officers also found a gun which turned out to be an airsoft gun.

Butler was arraigned Thursday on several charges.

Police said this was an isolated incident and there’s no ongoing threat to the public.
