Trump announces on social media that he is ‘taking away’ Harvard’s tax-exempt status

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WLNE) — President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social Friday that he is “taking away” Harvard University’s tax-exempt status, according to ABC News.

Harvard has been at odds with Trump since refusing to comply with the administration’s demands including tamping down on student protests and changing its DEI policy.

“It’s what they deserve,” said Trump in the post.

The possible revocation of the university’s tax-exempt status was initially reported in April.
